The most important thing in communication is to hear what isn't being said.

Between catching up on all the laundry and various household chores, I've been out visiting friends in the blog-o-sphere neighborhood. Stopped in at Pattie's (she's a square peg), delighted to visit for awhile listening to her favorite music. Pattie has a wonderful new pet dog that she adopted from the local animal shelter/pound. Laney is a Irish setter mix who is keeping her up and going even after she overextends herself in yard work. Please stop over and say hi.
It's been a weekend filled with many prayers. My friend; Susan, has suffered another heart attack. The woman is pushing me to just go up to the DC area and make sure that she takes care of herself. And to put a stop to all the stress that is creating the strain on the old heart muscles. Crazily, she put up a post on how to ignore heart attacks for us women. Oh no, tongue in cheek she wasn't. Unh huh... We'll see how she feels after I get up there.
Anyways, after listening to the songs on Pattie's playlist, I dropped in at YouTube. The song "Blue Eyes crying in the rain" by Willie Nelson and Shania Twain reminds me of the time I spent with my Daddy in his big rig. While Daddy didn't like to watch Willie on television, he could listen to him on the radio for hours on end.
So... this song is for my Daddy, whose blue eyes twinkled like no others I've seen.
Yes, listening to this does bring the tears to mine, but they're good tears. It also brings a flood of memories of the good times we've shared. Now, my blue eyes are smiling in the midst of it all.
And so it goes......

I like Shaniah, but Willie is da man. Thanks for the video.
John,
Happy to oblige ya. 'Course, how could you be a Georgia boy and NOT like Willie?
For my all time favorite, go look up Ray Charles...
Now, HE'S da MAN!! :P
Thanks for that! I love Shania Twain and I have the same feeling about Elvis that your Daddy did with Willie! Glad you liked my tunes :)

Oh Pattie... that's just not right. Not liking to watch Elvis? But you know, I prefer to watch his shows and movies from when he was first starting out much more than his later shows.
I think the stardom went to his head. As it does for most. Sad, that.
Yup, I like your music, I like music period! 'Cept rap type caterwaulin'
Thank you for the prayers and all the support. You are a Godsend.
And I love that "Blue Eyes" song. Willie has such an amazing voice. Your Daddy had great taste in music!
Susan!
You know without a doubt that they were heartfelt. I need for you to take care of yourself. We've gotta do one of those 'road trips' we've dreamed about so much here lately. Ya know?
Yeppers, my daddy was the best. Still missing him, I am.
